  2.        File Express is an information management program written for
  3.        the IBM Personal Computer and other compatible computers using
  4.        PC-DOS.  This allows easy manipulation of small and medium sized
  5.        databases using menu driven commands.  File Express allows you
  6.        to create and maintain files of facts, figures, names, mailing
  7.        lists, patient records or what have you.

  37. The ORDER.BAT file on the Supplemental Disk may be used to print out an Order
  38. Form and a Mailing List form.
  39.  
  40. The Order form may be used to order the latest version of the Disk Set or
  41. Registered Copy of any of the programs currently being offered by Expressware.

  43. The Mailing List form can be used to send Expressware your name and address
  44. so that we may add you to our mailing list.  You will then be notified of
  45. future updates and product announcements.  The form may also be used to
  46. send us comments about our products.  If you have received this copy of
  47. File Express from a friend, please take the time to send in the Mailing
  48. List form.

  50. Please read WHATSNEW.DOC on the Supplemental Disk to see all the new
  51. features and enhancements that have been made to File Express.

  54. Note:
  55.        If you are upgrading from a version
  56. of File Express that is earlier than 2.5
  57. you should delete any stack files from your
  58. Data Disks.  These are the files that have
  59. an extension of ".STK".  You can do this by
  60. inserting your Data Disk into drive A and
  61. typing:

  63.          DEL  A:*.STK  <Enter>
  64.  
  65. If your database files contain any deleted
  66. records you should rebuild this deleted
  67. record stack file by selecting <7> (File
  68. Maintenance) from the Main Menu and then
  69. selecting <3> (Rebuild Deleted Record Stack).
  70. This will cause File Express to go through
  71. the entire index for that file and look for
  72. deleted record slots that can be used the
  73. next time you enter data.
